The ETRTO & TRA ±3% Safety RuleAutomotive engineering standards recommend keeping alternative tire rolling diameters within ±3% of original factory equipment. Exceeding ±3% can cause tire rubbing inside fender wells, speedometer error, and false ABS/ESP traction control error codes.
